M+W Group receives major turnkey contract from BASF for a nitric acid production plant
Engineering taskforce set up at Ludwigshafen site
The global engineering and construction company M+W Group, Stuttgart, has received a major contract from BASF SE for a nitric acid production plant. The contract includes the entire planning, procurement, turnkey construction and commissioning. The plant is due to start production by the end of 2014.
Planning work for the major turnkey contract is already underway and a special engineering taskforce has been set up at the M+W site in Ludwigshafen to guarantee short routes to the customer and construction site.
Nitric acid is a bulk chemical used especially to manufacture isocyanates, polyamides and fertilisers.
